Anjana's career in fashion designing started with designing for her friends. She has a formal degree in Textile Designing and patter-n-cutting. 

Encourages by the heartening response to her creations, she established Studio "A", a design studio in New Delhi and launched her first collection at a fashion show in 1994 with Bina Ramani. This was only the beginning. She then designed her maiden a solo fashion show "An Indian Summer" which was held at the UNESCO Hall in Paris. 

She has also participated in the fashion shows all over the world and has held exhibitions in Delhi and Bombay. Anjana works out a theme and translates them into designs. Her creations are a fusion of ethnic Indian designs and her creativity to match the modern norms of wearability.

Her client list included celebrities like Femina Miss India Asia Pacific lst runner up Ms. Divya Chauhan, Romi Dev, Shubha Mudgal and Arundhati Roy. Her designs are retailed in New Delhi from Mosaic, Greater Kalaish-II Purple Patch Link Road and by appointment at her studio at 135, Sunder Nagar.
