Krishna Mehta is the only designer who has responded totally to the market, ready to meet the new demand generated by the classless universalisation of fashion. She has geared up to meet the challenges of the competitive fashion industry.

She also enjoys the added advantage of the support given by her husband, Neelesh Mehta who runs a successful garments business. The ready to wear garments range, " Oobe" also boasts the characteristic styling of Krishna. She has been primarily doing women's wear but intends to design something affordable by the common people. She has moved beyond even the Benettons. The separates are clean, but trendy, and crafted from such fabrics as cotton lycra, cotton viscose, soft twill and canvas

Having graduated from Sophia Polytechnic , she learnt warp and weft and all other basics on the weaver's loom. Her career began with export houses, but after marriage it was a life-time commitment. With the opening of Ensemble, Mehta launched a line of ethnic menswear, reviving and modernizing the achkan and angarkha, and dhotis. Her knowledge and understanding for brand strategies has been her biggest strengths.
