Creativity, passion and imagination are the primary working tools of this Delhi based designer. After graduating from Delhi University, she received her formal education in fashion from NIFT, Delhi and was part of its first batch.
She put her training into practice when she launched her first collection in the name of Lavanya. The first experience of success was when her creations were displayed at Fashion circuit of London. This was received with appreciation all over and is one of the few Indian designers to have held successful shows in international fashion capitals like Paris. 
In 1995 she launched, Sanskriti, based on traditional ethnic designs. She also introduced, a range of animal styled wear emphasizing care for animals. This consists of T-shirts, caps and stuffed toys.

She is one of the few designers who has carved a niche for herself with the right mix of talent and an astutely run PR campaign. 

The name Ritu Beri is now very much associated with Miss Universe and Miss World. She has been designing amazing dresses for a number of beauty pageants.
